LPS5,

My last trip I got as far as the corner of the hotel. I'm for any opportunity to get out in the streets and see how you villagers act.

Personally what I would like is a decadent trip to Little Italy with wooden floors and live opera.

Folks, I need a few decisions to give you a few options. First, you need to know that the area around the hotel - the mid/west Forties - is the theatre district, which means essentially three things:
1. Generally high prices;
2. "Specialized" fare - ethnic/artsy; and,
3. Half of them aren't open on Sunday.

Carol pointed out to me that Blackwood trading, I believe, will be having a reception on Sunday at 5 PM, similar to what they had in Ontario in August (across the hall from our thread get-together). This 'reception' as I recall, had free nibblin' food (sandwiches, soft drinks) while you listened to a few of their guest speakers.

Personally, I don't care to attend this (other than a free sandwich is always nice!). However, others may see this as a conflict for the thread gathering and prefer to meet with the thread Monday evening (also when more restaurants are open?). Anyway, I thought I'd point out this little Blackwood reception wrinkle. Does anyone see this as a problem? Will finding a decent place to eat on Sunday be a problem? Otherwise, full speed ahead...
