<<damn - You guys are making me nervous all cashing out now.>>

That's funny...I feel nervous that I don't have ENOUGH poots!<NG>

Seriously, I've learned (the hard way), that it isn't a bad idea to start taking poot profits when things repeatedly go your way for a week or so. That way, if the PPT or BubbleBoy, or the Insane Clown Posse strike suddenly, you don't get cleaned out (especially during expiration week). The other trick is to rotate near month poots further out as you cash in the near month. If we get a steady decline, you maintain your exposure that way, but with less volatility. Lots of possible money management tricks with options, use whatever works best for your trading style.

Patron

Good luck. I'm always "early". (g)

Having been nicely scarred in 1998, I am just healed enough to enjoy taking profits once again. I'm also probably too conservative, but I am still here to fight the battles while many of my bearish comrades of a few years ago are corpses.

Yes, we are in a well developed bear market, but all bear markets provide rallies that can take your head off in a day. A good pro usually "scales" his activities to some extent, both in and out. At the moment, I am riding with a few core positions that I intend to ride right through to bankruptcy court appearances. Other than that, I am relaxed and awaiting a decent rally from which to extract the next bit of sheep blood. (g)

best, Earlie
