I suspect if you list here all your programs that are listed in the enditall program...it will get narrowed down.

My problem as it turned out was more than one program. Might have been easier protecting them all and then unprotecting one program at a time. I did that but also removed from start up all the Norton programs. I am puzzled why some of my Norton programs need protecting. Perhaps no one else is using the Norton Recycle Protection program. Mark had suggested the Norton Antivirus program might be the culprit and it did indeed turn out to be one of them.
