tinkershaw, I take it for what it's worth. In other words it's a red flag that should be watched. Nothing more, nothing less. Obviously others felt the same since it was brought up on the NTAP conference call.

Hi Tinker and all. I know tinkershaw from the Avanex board.
I have never followed NTAP, but timely instinct drew me in.

The conference call got my attention. I am on the search for co.s that are rolling out tomorrows major technological trends.

I sense the possibility of a bounce in this one. I prefer to be long term, but in this environment, with only so many left, that have the fight, skill and vision, to carry the ball, its hard, to push your growth stock against the tide.

From the conference call, I unerdstood, that the majority of existing businesses, have yet to up grade their storage systems, and NTAP has the state of the art storage system that Oracle chose over the competition. Not to mention the fact that there is room for more than one major player, in this multi billion dollar and growing mkt.

NTAP conf call, for me jells as a seed change in the big picture. The call backs up what many of us have projected, for a long time, that the on ,going demand for state of the art 21 century technology, by existing businesses, will pull us through this economic wind down.

Businesses have no chioce but to continue to upgrade their tools, or they will fall behind.

Product announcements don't usually mean much, but the officers at NTAP, seemed pretty excited, about making Mondays annoucement. Hopefully it will be something great that will further increase the distance of their stated, one year lead, over the competition.

Anyway there maybe enough long and short term investors out there, that decide to nibble, in here, that we will see some positive activity.

Personally I don't think the party in general is over, rather we are seeing the pause that refreshes. I don't think this sector will pause for that long, that is if you call going from a sprint, to a fast paced long distance run, a pause.
