The Superior Craton has recently become a focus for new diamond exploration in Canada, following the news that Monopros (the Canadian arm of De Beers) commenced a 10,000 tonne bulk sampling program on the diamondiferous Victor pipe in early January 2000. The 18-hectare Victor kimberlite is the largest of 16 pipes that comprise the Attawapiskat cluster. Published reports confirm that 14 of these pipes are diamondiferous. Canabrava and Navigator have acquired over 1,000 claims in the area immediately adjacent to the Attawapiskat kimberlites, covering more than 30 circular airborne magnetic anomalies identified from a regional magnetic dataset. In addition, five high interest magnetic anomalies have been identified and staked in an adjacent area. The next stage of exploration on the Severn Project will include detailed airborne geophysical surveying of the claimed areas. Preliminary results for the 204 samples collected in Canabrava's 1999 reconnaissance sampling program have recently been received, and results are positive beyond expectation. The program was designed to test an extensive area of prospective terrain on the Superior Craton by careful consideration of the sampling medium in relation to the regional glacial geology. Abundant kimberlite indicator minerals including pyrope garnet, chromite, picro-ilmenite, chrome diopside and olivine, have been recovered. Hello Matey: It looks very interesting. Mind you the best part is that the reason we have a diamond industry in Canada right now, is because of the Ekati and Diavik diamond mines in the NWT. Now lets see who analyzed and defined the drill targets on the Ekati, RORY MOORE. Who analyzed and defined the drill targets on the Diavik Diamond mine in the NWT, EIRA THOMAS. So essentially now we have the 2 most successful diamond explorers in Canada, working the Kat and Frontier diamond pipe clusters on the Severn Project. Which by the way is 4 kilometers from the Victor Pipe by Debeers. Which I might add gives every indication of being an economic pipe, based on the street estimates of approximately 3.2 carats per ton and the fact they have applied and been granted a significant increase in hydro power to the site. There is no question in my mind that these 2 have already found what they are looking for. There is every indication that the severn project will be fast tracked, and that Kennicott is on the same page, now that they have had 2 years analyzing the mineral chemistrys and mineral trains on both the Whitefish and Rocky Island projects. We all know how good the preliminary results of these programs were viewed by Kennicott when they stated that the results were "BEYOND EXPECTATIONS" Very bullish. The potential is definitely there for us to be in the bulk sample stage on at least 3 different projects or possibly more this year. My gut tells me there will be at least 3 economic pipes or more in Severn and at least 1 or 2 in Whitefish and possibly 2 or 3 in Rocky Island. So, essentially that means with a little luck, shareholders in all likelihood will be looking at a company that will be part of 3 different economic diamond mines within the next year. This is not even considering Brazil, which at any time could pull another rabbit out of it's hat. We have all waited a long time, but I honestly and truthfully believe this is the year.
