We make all sorts of distinctions between types of murders. We do it because we think some murders are "worse" or some murderers are more dangerous. BFD. Society can do what it wants- sometimes I am with the majority, or at least the majority not willing to kick over the traces because they disagree with something, and very rarely I am not- of course it may become much more common for me now that the Shrub is in office.

I would add that someone who kills no one can be tried and convicted of 1st degree murder.
