Skip, the contest IS based on the amount of money the 100 shares of five stocks cost. It is based on the %return on the portfolio. And the portfolio contains 100 shares of each stock. So, the contest IS "based on the total percent return of the portfolio" and is based on the amount of money the 100 shares of five stocks cost. The two are not mutually exclusive, in this goofy contest.
