Mephisto--Maybe Gore should have allowed Clinton to campaign for him in Arkansas, I don't know--I don't know that Cllnton is that popular in Arkansas these days, either... I do know that Gore's polls showed the Clinton's campaigning for him in general would cost him swing voters, which is why he didn't use him. If that hadn't been the case, I can guarantee you that he would have welcomed Clinton's assistance with open arms--it killed Gore to lose, if his judgment was that Cllinton's campaigning for him would have made him stronger, he would CLEARLY have done so...
