"He was an older gentleman... but so young at heart..."

One of his recent posts on this thread shows that.

Well you ARE full of surprises.

Thank you very much.

Fifty years ago when I was travelling in Europe I got trapped
into singing that at a camp fire party in a youth hostel in the
Black Forest. Since then as my family grew up it became a
favourite for singing in the car when we were tripping together.
And of course on Christmas day when we were together again
we couldn't remember the words... Thanks again Trev

Dear Sue: In Memoriam --- Late Trevor Martin (.Trev)

Thank you very much for posting that fine tribute to Trev on this forum. He was a regular participant here and usually had something cheery and informative to tell us.

Please convey our sincere condolences to his daughter at this time of sad bereavement.

He will be sadly missed by us all.

With kind regards

Searle Sennett

I'm sure Searle's words sum up the sentiments for all of us here quite accurately.

We ply threads such as these for information that gives us an edge in acquiring $$$. The companies we follow produce precious metals--silver, gold, platinum, palladium--and what is mined out of the earth becomes a basis of wealth of sorts for the populations of the world.

But we all know deep down that the only thing of lasting worth that we encounter in this earthly existence is the human soul. It is not a thing the value of which can be adequately grasped in the meager years alloted we mortals in human form. And even far removed from the presence of others by distance with only the typing of letters on a keyboard as a form of communication, the personality and life of the soul can not be kept hidden.

From my POV, the one thing necessary to grasp the value of the human soul is the eternity God has in store for us is.
