I for one would also like to see this issue addressed by the "world is ending" folks. Should one be in worthless cash, worthless gold, worthless stocks, what? Seems as if one actually believed the world were going down the tubes, they would want to be in the few areas that people need to survive: food, staples, energy. Those are the only things guaranteed to do well because their demand would be the least elastic. Money is flying from tech to energy and food stocks for a reason.
