Huey, you need to rephrase your statement. The more relevant and enlightening issue is how the administration wants to deal with Japan and the effect of its poorly managed economy on the rest of the world, including companies such as SanDisk, which does a lot of business with Japanese firms.

So far, the attitude is pretty much hands off. So let's just sit back and watch the Japanese draw everyone else down the same path. Or would it be better to persuade the Japanese to adopt policies that would not only pull themselves out of their mess but would benefit other nations as well?

There is also a lingering desire to allow domestic issues to grow worse, momentarily at least, in order that some people can try to make political hay out of blaming the previous administration for everything gone wrong. Just listen to the TV talk shows and you'll see how prevalent this strategy has become.
