Step 3 in Customize a Dell system, a 4100, is:

3. Choose Productivity Software

o Microsoft Office 2000 Small Business [no extra]
o Microsoft® Office 2000 Professional [add $199]

That is $199 on top of the Office 2000 Small Business cost. And there is no option for Office 2000 Premium.

They also try to sell training for each, for $50 or $60 additional, which is OK. They do the Videos, and make "non-PC" revenue.

In the HBR Interview, MSD said he didn't want to be the 23rd Modem company, so why is Dell offering a Microsoft® Internet Keyboard, Dell Edition [add $20]? Is this like a CueCat with tracking capability? Or some Dell quickaccess key(s) or Dell logo? I want to know what I'm getting.

There's no omit option for the mouse, and I probably want to get the wireless MS mouse.

On and on.
Third try to buy from Dell.
