The 2nd half recovery will not be televised. Because it is not going to happen. What we're going through now takes a lot of time to reverse.

Cap spending budgets do not suddenly go into overdrive- they have to be approved by nervous execs and BOD's. 100's of thousands of laid off workers will not be joyfully called back to work in July and August. This does not happen in 3 weeks, after some govt economic report finally comes out showing that maybe car sales bounced back a bit or people are buying more cell phones or TVs again.

This econ slowdown is stretching well into 2002, imo. So on this premise I base my opinions that m-commerce will wither on the vine, and the GE acq of Hon will be a notable disaster that MBA students will study for years to come as an example of glaringly bad corporate judgement.
