We have that here in an area called Pacifica where people knowingly bought these very expensive homes with a great view and a disclaimer that the foundations were bad because of the shifting earth . Now they want to be bailed out for their mistake. They never invited me to enjoy the spectacular view but now were supposed to bail them out. Sorry nobody is bailing out those people who invested in the Internet stocks only to see their money vanish. These people were told that there was a danger in buying homes in that area but they chose to ignore the risks. Kind of like risky sex be prepared to pay the price.
I agree though that it is a state issue but that can not be when the federal government is taking all the tax dollars. Again it makes for a compelling argument to leave the money in the state.
