I suspect that 50 years from now, most of it will fade into the footnotes category at best. Jefferson, Hamilton, Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Kennedy, and the rest of them; the matter improper sexual behavior fades into insignificance. In Europe it's irrelevent to the function of the Presidency even today. The impeachment will be a historical record of partisanship.

And future generations will still be asking...Why did the US invade Grenada? Which will fade into an obscure footnote as well.

Tiger Paw--you and I are in complete agreement on that point; their appointment of Ken Starr was nothing short of disgraceful. Clinton brought a lot of abuse on himself, but he was by no means alone, that's for sure...
