There is big time pressure on KLAC and AMAT. It goes without saying that tonights earnings announcement by AMAT will weigh heavily on the entire sector. In my view the makeup of the pattern overall dictates that tonight's announcement won't help the stock breach the resistance in front of it. I make this statement because of the timeframe of the pattern involved. The close is important today. A negative close on the Compx and a negative announcement for the SOX as a group could very easily knock 200+ Naz points (this week) and more importantly give us a more significant rollover of the index overall.
