"I don't see AMD losing the performance crown anytime soon."

Agreed wholeheartedly...AMD has convincingly wrestled away the price/performance crown with its "high quality" Athy in Y2000...The next 3 to 5 years will build on the "rock solid" Athy foundation with a bevy of new "high quality" products in the server, mobile and workstation spaces...Nothing on my radar screen at the moment that suggests AMD's competitors can effectively compete with the "price/performance" and "high quality" features that characterize Athy products!!!

Pravin,

Intel has been spewing their marketing BS about P4 and IA-64 for so long now, that their management is starting to believe it. P4 is a really bad product, and instead of fixing it, they are trying to BS their way out of the truth.

This weakens Intel and makes them vulnerable.
