I was surprised that DAFS/VI wasn't mentioned in the CC, nor were there any questions (of course, I could've missed it). I know it's a standard, "...a new systems protocol designed to enable a new generation of high-performance, low-latency storage networks", that "using DAFS, vendors will be able to create intelligent storage appliances based on open standards.

The result will be enterprise-class functionality at a fraction of the cost of traditional, proprietary mainframe and data center clustering technologies. DAFS enables direct memory-to-memory file access and uses the Virtual Interface (VI) architecture as its underlying transport mechanism. VI allows bulk data transfer directly to or from application buffers and permits applications to access VI-capable hardware directly without operating system intervention."

I'm just surprised it wasn't mentioned, if it's so close to launch. You'd think a question or two would've come up.

I do believe that DW wants to have maximum impact with this announcement

During the cc, he seemed to have an almost taunting attitude towards the analysts wrt the Monday announcements.
