Ok Diana, Ok. Fair enough, just call me Cyclops, Polyphemos, "No Man" or whatever. .o}

Having lived through a few "R's" I know that they form up and hit with breathtaking speed. The overall stock market really scares me - still. Perhaps I am the proverbial "fool on the hill", but Diana commercials are short this market in record numbers while individuals are are close to 60% bullish and like 14% bearish. You must admit this is a striking contrast. We'll see who wins. Somehow, with these kinds of sentiment numbers I just can't shake the feeling that the other shoe is about to drop. Who knows? Maybe this time Goliath will slay David? When I can't exactly say.

About my sense of certainty. Yes, I do feel that way. One of the the things that did it for me was Sharp's post on business leaders confidence...

These guys KNOW what's going on and they are as negative as in the '91 and '81 recession? I mean if anybody really knows they know. Surely they aren't making it all up just to dump a few excess temps. Imo 100 basis point won't cut it - not nearly. You can call me "one eyed", but surely all these business leaders can't be blind about what's going on in their own businesses? Can they?

Hey I'm just a nobody, with no real power over anything, perhaps even addle pated in my dotage, I know that. So I am not really asking you to believe anything I say. I do, however, think at least a modicum of circumspection is in order when viewing those particular numbers. These guys aren't nobodies - and they make the decisions to hire or fire.

Diana. There's a much older quote

that may be more appropriate with regard to the view Bull and I have been pressing here since early January about the Intermediate risks inherent in being fully invested in this market environment.

"In the land of the blind...the one-eyed is king."

Cheers
