Chris, I'll stay with you on this new thread!

Just too much talent to ignore. Further, I believe the difference between other moderated threads and this one is you.

Now then, back to what is important. If someone can, please post for all to see an NDX chart on a weekly basis, with a trend line using the bottoms of 4/18/97, 10/9/98, and 1/5/01. First, some of us that have been around, will notice that those time periods were involving difficult periods for tech stocks. Second, those that were around know that these were extremely profitable entry points. Third, sometimes you just got to turn off the tube, the talking heads, and the ANAL-ysts, and good, bad or indifferent place your bet.

Anyone that has software that allows you to move your line around will note that versions of that line have been in play for a long time. In the FWIW category, I get the NDX value at 2171 and the translation to the Q's is about $54.30. If this level were to break, then we are out of the world of trend line analysis and depending on some function of horizontal support. Horizontal support does not work well in a bear market.

Fridays are always rumour days. This past one was extreme. Unfortunately, it got no support from the Fed action that actually reduced monetary liquidity Friday. Duly noted that that was two Fridays in a row that the idiots in charge choose not to be of support. It just absolutely amazes me that the ANAL-ysts have any sway left. Seven of the majors down grade CSCO in the $30's. Where were they at $80?

My only concern is the daily charts. They are absolutely FUGLY! Therefore, I have to agree with Lee on this one. If we get a break in the trend line, stand aside because down is not a determinable value.

Trained by BK Bill, I need to add BWDIK and JMHO. Moreover, just a view from the swamp.
