I very much agree with what you've said WTS. Everyone over reacted to Y2K; gloom and doom was every where but nothing happened at all. This really inflated the .com bubble to rediculous levels and it needed to be popped.

I believe far too many people are confusing the stock markets performance and the economy. The economy did not collapse as some people would have us believe, and I'm sure that it will not. The stock market did, but the strong and profitable will survive.

Unfortunetly, journalists have little to no understanding of economics and miss inform the general public.
