Yes, I found jeffry's questions very good (general dialogue section), and mind-boggling even for me to recheck my charts. Again, I dont hold grudges because communicating via the internet only is very very hard. You cannot see the other person's emotions and physical response.

And again, it's the attacking that started after he apologized, thats where he crossed the line. Not the general dialogue section.

I am trying to explain myself VERY clearly so that I hope this situation doesn't happen again. Our thread isn't about competing views. It's about sharing views and respecting each other. Very simple rules that you have to adhere to whether you are chatting online or walking down the street. And i assure you, that our thread will not be like the "other" moderated thread. I've never believed in moderated threads, but this "tool" to ban people is a DETERRANCE for personal attacks. They will be warned. They will have a post depicting the evidence on why they are banned. This thread has been going on for 4+ years with 40,000 posts. I'm not going to let this little situation destroy our piece of work.

These principles are not new. But you have to show respect.

Martin,

>>>> One more thing since Don has stopped posting I have been shocked to see people imploring him to come back because they needed to see what his opinion of the markets is. Well that is very dangerous IMHO. Relying on somebody
else's opinion for one's own trading.<<<<

I take no offense to that, in fact I am in agreement. Why do you think I take such efforts to explain in as much detail as I attempt to do - so people can make their own decisions. And frankly Im embarrassed where Im followed to that extent. You may not have noticed but when Im congradualated on a good call, I seldom respond hoping that it will subtley subside, which over time it has as compared to when I was on "Idea of the DAY" and "MDD".

As for over-reaction, thats an opionion which I wont argue. Ok, hypothetically lets say I deserved it, but did Chris deserve it. He wasnt even in the discussion one bit, to the best of my knowledge. So whats worse.

This situation has become uncomfortable for me, I guess that some may also interpret that as an over-reaction - so be it. I did come back after 1-2 days hoping things would subside, and right after I posted he subtley makes a post, not to me, but which I interpreted as an uncomfortable post. Remember he said he wouldnt be back and didnt post until right after I did, I believe it was 2 or 3 posts after and within about 25 minutes. That did make me uncomfortable. If you want me to explain further why I became uncomfortable, I can go into further detail than I already did in a previous post. Lets just say it was starting to have a similarity to something that occurred when I was young, unless you want more details.

Regardless this has become an uncomfortable situation for me in light of his approach and in light this guru stuff, so I will just post my market opinions on the website in light of a previous commitment and continue to help a few individually. I will pop in once in awhile to say hello.

Well I think you nailed it with the diplomacy statement and everyone knows I am by no means a diplomat being accused of all types of stereotypical things myself ranging from idiot or moron all the way to bigot and facist. <gggg>

The problem was the delivery and the spanning out to Chris on the attacks as Don just noted. You can see here that I too thought it was a wedge and that we were going to drop and posted as such when it seemed to me that everyone else was bullish. I didn't get attacked.
Message 15280091
Don and I disagreed all that week about the wedge vs rectangle but it never resorted to sarcasm, name calling or anything of that sort. We simply agreed to disagree and then let the market decide. We all make errors in forecasting the market ( and Don wins about 98% of them -ggg-) and if you can get over half correct or else practice sound money management, you still do fine. I don't think there is anyone that will not admit Don has a lot better, and more consistant winning streak.

No one said, there were no contrary opinions allowed and I doubt anyone ever will. It is when those differing opinions turn to malicious intent that warnings, and then actions are needed.

Good Luck,

Lee
