To: BDR who wrote (3930 ) 2/11/2001 2:31:50 PM From: Tunica Albuginea Respond to of 3951 OT/Dale, we have not corresponded in 3 years I believe, since VVUS....amazing. Well ,let 's forget that....water under the bridge. I have to admit I am pleasantly surprised about your political - economic views which 3 years ago we never got a chance to discuss. Unlike VVUS< vbg>, I agree with you 100% this time... Obviously you have been around the mill a little longer so you can now recognize a crock ( Rubin ) when you see one. Congrats and keep up the good work. :-)) I will keep this short because many have objected to the posting of politics and economics in a tech thread which I suppose I agree with , as long as everybody obeys the rule. Anyway, to continue this I invite you to post from time to time in the HRC thread, a hospital I know well. I think that is a more appropriate forum, since you and I are in direct line of fire between the shooting parties, patients, Uncle Sam, Insurances, lawyers etc. So lately I have been taking cover under HRC,< VBG >. I find it a very restful place since they thumbed their noses to the HMOs and don't see Medicare or other patients in their emergency rooms.Strictly an office and elective outpatient &/or Hospital surgery practice. Their emergency room is closed by and large so that they have insulated themselves from having their pockets picked daily by Robert Rubin's" free loaders ", after he directed them there when he run out of cash to pay their bills in the last 2 years ( after breaking the 30 year promise that he was going to pay all of their Medicare bills. Most still believe him and are totally unaware that he skipped town. But anyway after all the lies what difference will one more lie make.) So some semblance of sanity in medical practice is returning at HRC and similarly run practices. Strictly cash on the barrel now. " You got a bad prostate problem, or a bad back? OK, we'll see in the office, but we won't accept your lousy HMO which stuck us with the bill the last 6 times. When you find something that can pay our expenses we'll be glad to see you. And no thank you but we are not going to pay you $200 to come and visit me at the office. I do have to pay rent and my nurses. No, my nurses don't work here for free, regardless of what anybody else may have told you. We lost money with that plan , thank you. Yes I know, that was a great and cheap plan while it lasted but we ditched it now and it ain't coming back. In fact I think we mailed the original copy to Hillary in new York. " So since their Emergency room is closed, they got them by their proverbial cahones. " Nowhere to run to...". I believe patients are now calling their Congressman to see if there is a Plan B now that Plan A ( stick it to the doctors, nurse, hospitals ) has failed. They keep getting a recorded message though giving them a choice of 25 other options to dial to. The nurses feel better too taking care of only 6 freeloaders. Of course it is still above the recommended safe level of nurse to patient ratio of 4 to 1 , but it is a lot better than the 8 to 1 ratio we had last year. I'll get off the box now, but please feel free to continue at HRC, cheers back later TA
