Harry,

"Should a major earthquake occur in Silicon Valley sooner than we anticipate, immediate evacuation of the area would be a good step to have in place." Is that an endorsement for evacuation, or a CYA statement?

AG said even more about it later in the question and answer period in which he said that trying to pay down the debt too fast would throw the economy into a recession.

I hope he didn't say that. If so, I have even less respect for him than I thought I did.

That is what you call an endorsement of a tax cut? <<<<<<<<

If that isn't an endorsement of a tax cut, pray tell what is it. AG said that we should have a tax cut in place now so that if the economy gets worse later on, we are ready to stimulate it. What is wrong with that?

Harry,

This is rediculous...every stupid*ss pundit on tv knows that AG is counting on his fed rate cuts to start bearing fruit long before Bush's tax cut can get out of the House. Any comments he makes where, at best, he says the tax cut MAY do some good is intended to mollify Bush.
