It seems there is always another technology around the corner.

To be sure, there are always new technologies coming along. The question here is whether ODFM is a genuine displacement of CDMA. When, for example, might it be ready for prime time deployment -- is that soon enough to be disruptive or far enough away that one should wait and see? And, is it a direct replacement candidate or more suited to a particular niche? The list of genuine disruptive technologies is a *lot* shorter than the list of seemingly interesting and exciting technologies that just never seemed to go anywhere or which ended up in a limited niche.
