Well I knew jnpr was hot last year along with a whole host of other hot companies last year... you know the names, akamai, corvis, etc etc.

Then I went to this red herring seminar on building software companes where a bunch of execs were talking about how to build their businesses. These 2 well known guys were up there and they made this huge deal of signing that one anchor customer, someone who is small currently so you can get in and get out implementation-wise but grow your user licenses with their business. The example of that ideal company that both these guys agreed on immediately was juniper. Until that time, jnpr was just another hot company to me. They laid out the reasons that they thought juniper was THE company to sign for software... thats what I know of jnpr.

What I am unsure of is whether being a jnpr bull means you have to be a cisco bear. It seems like some people think the answer is yes.
