Do you remember the excitement of watching a manned moon mission launch?

No I was born in 1968, a bit to young to remember "one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind".

Reaching the moon again would not be worth it in my opinion if all that was done was to drop off a couple of men on the moon and take back a few rocks, unless the mission was very cheap. We have "been there and done that", so it would not be as inspireing and his has little practical usefullness. What I think should be our main goal in space is to reduce the cost to get there. That would open up all sorts of posibilities.
