Scumbria, What makes the British mass transit system unusable? I've never been there but have heard that it is convenient and used to capacity. I'd be interested in a first-hand story. jbk

In England, the mass transit system (which used to be one of the finest in the world) has completely gone to hell since Maggie and the tories took over.

It is now expensive and largely unusable.

I am sorry to hear it....I think the systems are still good on the continent.
