I am very surprised at his doing so, for I think it is unlike him. Perhaps it is just a temporary error in judgment that we all experience at one time or another.

Your post makes me laugh.

You speak about a right to have privacy and then you suspend BearDown for 30 days based on his post criticizing SI for their policies handling the release of identities.

You stated personal attacks and vulgarity as your explanation as to why BD is suspended. I read the post and don't recall a personal attack. The post did contain the "F" word but that could have simply been deleted from the post and let the post stand. Instead, SI practices a facist censorship.

Wouldn't it be nice if SI tried to help protect that anonymity that you say we deserve? Why should posters here be subject to SLAPP suits that are meant to do nothing but out their identity that you say they are entitled to have private? The "crims" have learned that a mere filing of a frivelous suit and a subpoena to SI requesting info on ANYONE (even those not party to the suit), will result in the release of identities that said "crims" can use for whatever reasons they choose.

Your words and SI's actions are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Your lip service here is BS.

Need some extra money in the SI coffers? Don't lay off the favorite admin. Get a cool million from Oracle:

oracle.com

Oracle will pay you a million dollars if it doesn't run your web site at least three times faster. SI should have no problem collecting on this one.
