Elizabeth, unfortunately Jay took that photo with a wide-angle lens. He sends his regards from the hospital.

PS Just kidding!

Several years ago, a 6-toed cat followed me home in the rain. It was limping because it had somehow punctured a forepaw. I took the stray to a vet who put a drainage tube in the paw and told me to inject 10cc of betadyne through that tube twice a day.

Before each session, I checked my health insurance benefits and then wrapped her in towels so that I could get a solid grip and that she couldn't see what was to come. But with the first injection she burst out of the towels with a strength no human could maintain. I eventually gave up (for reason of cuts and pain). The cat recovered fully within a week and quietly left the next day.

If a dozen pounds of housecat can do that much damage, I would hate to think what 60+ pounds of wildcat could do to a lowly photographer :-(
