Oh please! There are only 2 positive ratings on Wall St. They are called Buy and Strong Buy!

What about the firms that don't have Buy or Strong Buy ratings?

ML's ratings in order: Buy, Accumulate, Neutral, Reduce, Sell. They are actually numbers so go with 1,2,3,4,5 and fill in whatever descriptive phrase you want.

BTW, for the majority of its coverage, ML has had Accumulate ratings on companies such as GE and CSCO. Some major company execs used to express more comfort with the ML Accumulate/Buy rating than the Buy/Buy rating because with the latter there was only one way to go in terms of rating: Down.
