Candlelight vigils to protest blackouts makes sense, doesn't it? But they should burn the candles at home and make them do double duty - both as protest and for lighting their houses. Otherwise, they are wasting energy.

One survey by the independent Field Poll had this striking finding: Nearly two-thirds of California residents preferred an occasional blackout to higher electricity costs...

Some residents took to the streets and held candlelight vigils to demand relief. Others staged a public burning of their bills. Consumer groups aired radio and television ads urging residents to pay only what they considered a fair price for electricity and dared the utilities to resort to widespread power cutoffs.

dude, do you realize how much easier it is to loot sh*t in the dark?

I dare someone to keep saying GFY to the creditors of the utes like Davis and the rest of that crazy republic seem intent on doing. Anything that helps my bank poots I am firmly behind that camp -g-

What was that quote about the proletariat of any democratic country eventually realizing that they can vote the wealth of the land (meaning others) to themselves? -ng-
