A couple of quick things: The Naz appears oversold at this point, but since the VXN is still low, there's still a good chance of further selloff, despite this week being options expiry. I like the way you're looking at the Mar series for some of your call plays, as it'll buy more time in case the bounce waits until after this week.

Yes, that is why the hedge.
I am keeping PUTs that are above max pain levels and selling the others. If we keep tanking, NETE will be sure to fall. IMB has that huge gap, and ANF (retail stocks are starting to take a hit) ANF is also way way above pain at 22 1/2.

Hi Poet and all, I've a question...

I had a bull call leap spread on EMC. I've recently bought back the short leg and intend to resell when the chart looks overbought. It worked very well this time. However, as mishedlo pointed out, puts on EMC have been VERY lucrative too. What does one think of using the proceeds of a selling calls to buy puts also?

Question: Cisco is pushed down to 27 1/2, and then pulled back up to 30.

Obvious strike prices for options.

Gigantic open interest right now on the Feb 30 calls and puts, not much on the 27 1/2s. Gigantic OE on the Feb 35 and Feb 40 calls.

Assuming someone were trying to get a very profitable position in the options or in an option/stock play, what do you think is going on here?

Thanks.

Poet and Thread,

I'm wondering if any here have a comment on the "International Securities Exchange".

iseoptions.com

I ran across the URL on the Daytrading Fundamentals thread and wonder if this is a viable alternative to the usual exchange based options trading.

Comments welcomed!

Best, Ray
