i tend to like your suggestion to just get another keyboard. a lot like what i just went through with a cd-rom drive in an old pc that was producing c:not accessible errors. some posts i read on a variety of windows forums recommended cleaning it. most recommended buying a new one. i spent $20 for a 50X cd-rom drive and it fixed me right up. after the old one was out, just for grins i tried opening it to see what the lens looked like, etc. you shoulda' seen the shape that drive was in after i pried and pulled on it for half an hour, and still couldn't get one side of it open!

btw, many of the keyboard cleaning sites i just looked at mentioned specifically the spacebar key as definitely being one that should not be removed, because of the difficulty in getting it back on.

"get a new one", or "quit spilling drinks" are both good advice.

:)
