Hueyone, re: "any Federal Reserve board seeking to permanently injure the economy would be replaced at the earliest opportunity." And who would you guess has the authority and political power to replace the FRB? I hope that Alan Greenspan lives to a ripe old age. I remember several years when you couldn't clear a check written on a Texas bank for at least 10 days because -- unlike the remainder of this nation -- Texas wasn't part of the Federal Reserve System. I would hate to see GWB arrange for one of his Texan oil buddies to be our new Fed chairman. Craig
