Thanks K. now that was fun! I have some of the old radio tapes, and they are fun to hear. Many of them, because of the era revolved around WW II and the men coming home. Lot of propaganda about the US...that's when it was still okay to say you were from the USA and proud of it.

On the tape I have, Fibber is going back to school...I guess the school was an early version of Jr. College, but was called by a different name. He was trying to learn the meaning of inflation...still a timely subject.

Digger was the "Friendly Undertaker"..a lot of "shoveling off" jokes.

I listened to these on road trips rather than books on tapes, for nostalgia's sake. It was a fun trip.
