they're possibly lowering the expectations so that Dell can handily beat them. it's difficult to increase revenue and layoff workers at the same time. this is too goofy to even comment on Dell's success internationally and in storage helped boost their revenue the last weeks in January. If January retail sales (released today) are any indication of success, it appears computer hardware wasn't as affected as several of these analysts were reporting earlier.
