Fiber v. Wireless:

Chip,

The difference between fiber optic cable and wireless RF solutions is day and night. With fiber, bandwidth is almost limitless, by the standards we are used to. This is a function of the laws of physics. So are the limitations of wireless. The fact that the government controls the spectrum is a sensible, intelligent solution to the problem of the "tragedy of the commons" which occurs when too many users try to transmit or receive RF signals on any given spectrum. The limitations of the medium will forever make wireless a niche market and inferior solution when high bandwidth is required. JMHO

Best, Ray :)
