Elmer, That explains why Intel publicly demoed but Merced and Willamette within a couple of weeks of first silicon and AMD wouldn't show K7 for over 6 months. It is actually a sign of insecurity when a company starts showing off first silicon. Most companies wait until they have a stable product before introducing it to the press. K7 had a development cycle of about 3 years, as compared to almost a decade for the various flavors of P7. Your comparison is kinda ridiculous. Scumbria
