fyo,

I don't have a link for you, but I clearly remember that it was clearly stated that their would be two 0.13u processes, with the SOI version initial reserved for Hammer.

Pravin.

Fyo,

Fab 25 should be fine for Duron / Morgan up to 1.1 or 1.2 GHz, which takes it all the way to Q1 or Q2 2002.

I hope they will convert it to HiP7, and reduce the number of different process technologies that AMD needs to support. It would make sense to start the conversion in middle of Q4 2001, after the Q4 production has beeen satisfied, so that the reduced capacity coincides with weaker Q1 and Q2.

But I think AMD should start to build another fab, and possibly get into contract fab services. AMD is becoming one of the top 3 vendors, based on the state of their process technology, (together with Intel and IBM), and it only makes sense to take advantage of this position.
