Paul,

If you read my comments I have already acknowledged the volume picture is murky on the COMPX. However:

- It is not murky on the QQQ;

- It is *probably* not murky on the ND futures. Tick volume certainly declines, but I'll grant the *probably* since we only have tick volume instead of actual contract volume.

Having said that, I use tick volume as a proxy all the time for mapping out areas of consolidation, and I'm well pleased with the utility of the approach.

Since the QQQ and ND represent the generals in the market, its fair enough to use them as a proxy to the NDX.

I'm not quite sure why that's not a fact worth acknowledging.

I'm not quite sure why you are unable to acknowledge the above either.

There have been no clear, undisputable rising wedges in the major indexes on this rally for the first time

My sense is that you are talking your position, since in my experience its just not that important for a pattern to be "perfect". Frequently "good enough" is all we have. Its what we do with the information that is important.

Regards,
Mike
