When do you think they'll file under Chapter 11?

As a long time customer of T I'm especially upset with them. Cancelled my calling card today and credit card and long distance on both my
lines.

cmon, do you think anyone reading this thread gives a shit?

about 2 years ago I got this mysterious bill for $3.80 from AT&T, claiming to be my monthly bill for long distance subscription. It was for my Verizon Wireless phone, in which I use only VZ long distance.

After a couple of days of trying to get thru to an overloaded customer service line, I finally gave up and filed wiht the city attorney. It was a clear case of Fraud. turns out the city attorney had already had a few hundred of these turned in. Later that week, it was annnouced that AT&T was being investigated by teh Justice department for this nice practice. Seems they mailed out this phony $3 bill to everyone they could remotely figure as a customer. A high percentage of them just paid the bill. cheaper to sette the $3.80 than to complain. But AT&T got to keep the money for 3-6 months while they worked out a deal. Can you say Debt financing?

They even threatened legal action to me if I did not take care of it in 30 days. Would have loved that one. I would have won a few thousand for their harassment.

This is the kind of crap that they think they have a RIGHT to do to their cusotmer base. And then have absoluletly NO customer service, except some highly understaffed group which can only hadle about 1/1000 of the line load they get from day to day. Of course, "your call is very important to us, so please keep holding..."....while your calling on a direct long distance line......

The list goes on...
