"AMD
few boxes --> they're selling like hot cakes! [e.g. they were all out of 1GHz Athlons! I saw the last one being sold!!!]
many boxes --> they're selling like hot cakes! [e.g. this store had almost solely AMD-based systems! Go AMD!!!]

Intel
few boxes --> they're not selling! [e.g. this store hardly had any P4s! Nobody wants them!]

many boxes --> they're not selling! [e.g. the P4 boxes were just gathering dust! AMD products were almost sold out! GO AMD!!!]"

Sounds perfectly logical if you add in the following important determinant doesn't it??? :-)

amd ---> higher performance, higher sales
amd ---> lower price, higher sales

intc ---> lower performance, lower sales
intc ---> higher price, lower sales
