Well, one more way we are different...I think losing the next election is retribution for what went down this last election.

What about all the things that went down that were committed by the Democrats?

Ted Re..Well, one more way we are different...I think losing the next election is retribution for what went down this last election.<<<<<<<

To me, it would be retribution only if enough voters vote for the Dem. candidate solely because of disatisfaction with the outcome of the 2000 election, such that the outcome of the election is different than it would have been. In other words, if the dems win in a landslide, the dems would have won the election anyway so it can hardly be called retribution. It may energize the Dem. faithful, but I would consider the job GW does as president as a far more likely determinent of whether we re-elect him. We should also consider that Bill's less than graceful exit has helped GW considerably, so I wouldn't count GW out yet.

I would liken it to a super bowl. Lets say the NYG actually won the super bowl this yr. on a bad call. If the ravens win the next super bowl in a rout, have the ravens really exacted revenge. One could say that, but actually, the win this year doesn't negate the fact that the ravens should have won both super bowls. That is what I am trying to say. If however, the ravens defeat the NYG on the basis of a bad call next yr. then retribution would have been exacted; because then the ravens have won one game and NYG one game.; just as it would have been without any bad calls.
