Tualatin may be more competition for Athlon than P4, it's where Intel should have been focusing its energy. But don't get too enamored of "pretty much ready to go" chips. That what they've been saying about SMP for Athlon for a year.

Fin, sorry, I can't answer any of your questions, mainly because I don't know the specific answers, and even if I did, they would probably be a lot more complicated than you'd care for.

All I can guess is that when Intel releases any product this year, you won't get the "phantom release" that characterized some of Intel's releases in 2000.
