The REIT that I mentioned to you earlier, that IMO is one of "the best" in our area (and the West Coast) is being acquired by Equity Office Properties, EOP.
Here are two different news stories about the agreement.

Holders of Spieker common stock will receive a fixed $13.50 in cash and 1.49586 shares of Equity Office for each share of Spieker held. From the Wall Street article: "The deal, which was approved by both companies' boards Thursday and which the companies announced Friday, is the largest ever among real-estate investment trusts, far eclipsing Equity Office's $2.64 billion acquisition of New York's Cornerstone Properties Inc. last year."
