I would really rather see AMD work very closely with one of the major server CPU producers (i.e. Alpha or Sun). I don't think "regular" foundry work is something that is easily combined with AMD's business model (and despite their production expertise, I don't see a lot of synergy).

That's what I meant. CPUs are probably one of the few devices that can pay for the cost of the leading edge process, plus maybe some networking chips.
