The USSC had no business even hearing the case. It was clearly a state issue.

Scalia's argument of uniformity was grounds enough to throw out every election since the nation's inception.

Great Concept. Don't count the Florida votes just select Bush says Scalia and the 4 robes. t will affect Bush's legitimacy if the votes are counted said Scalia

Next time, maybe Scalia and scum will just stop that messy voting process and select Bush President for Life like the puppets for some Latin American dictator.

Sounds good but someone had to stop the circus. I don't think there was anyway to recount the votes reliably and the USSC knew it.

Jim,

That was no circus; it was democracy at work. But Bush, his cronies and you all that voted for him could not afford to let democracy run its course for fear he would lose.

And you were right....he would have lost. And those of us who made up the 51% of the votes for Gore will not forget it.
