Tim, Florida law had ambiguous statutes. One said hand recounts were needed in close elections, the other had a short deadline. Obviously these two statues are not compatible, and the FL SC decided that a proper count was far more important than an arbitrary deadline. No point hiding behind ambassador Katherine Harris' BS, because it doesn't hold any water. In fact it doesn't make any sense, unless you are looking for an job in the Bush administration. Scumbria
