Well the taxman has short hands; within the country you pay for short term (realised) gains, but gains from positions held by more than one year are in no case taxable.

Money held in foundations is neither taxable (within the foundation) and it is even better if the foundation is domiciled in Jersey, BVI, Gran Cayman or any of the tax paradises.
